What is Cat-cha-Fly®?
Cat-cha-Fly® is a unique and original cat toy that resembles a Dragonfly in flight. The natural instinct for cats is to hunt, chase, and catch their prey. To a kitten, just about anything is prey, including human hands and feet. To adult and senior cats, prey is more prevalent in nature's arena in the form of rodents, birds, and flying insects. Flying insects, however, present the ultimate challenge to a cat not only because they readily elude a "pounce", but also when "missed" their tendancy is to fly and buzz about, initiating a repetitive game of "catch me!". Flying insects are, therefore, a tease to a cat; and as they are everywhere, our feline friends simply cannot resist the need to "Cat-cha-Fly®!".
Why was Cat-cha-Fly® created?
The inspiration: "Scrapper", a feisty female tabby, just loves to hunt dragonflies at any time, anywhere. While watching them in action, she sees a "catch" appear within her grasp. The dragonfly remains perched, seemingly oblivious to her slow and cautious approach. However, as she pounces, it flies into the air just out of reach, hovering over her and then landing nearby. This process then becomes a repetitive "game". Dragonfly season is as short as summer here in Canada. Fortunately for "Scrap", and felines everywhere, this cat's owner decided to design an interactive cat toy resembling a dragonfly in flight so that she and cats worldwide can enjoy the pursuit all year round. Thus, Cat-cha-Fly® was made for housebound cats. Cat-cha-Fly® gives felines a fun and stimulating means of sharpening wit, practicing the hunt, and maintaining a balanced disposition through exercise and challenge.
